Work in progress of a mecha character made in blender. As I'm going to be busy with work for a few months, this project is getting shelved at least for the duration of that time (like all wips), but wanted to showcase a sneak peek of it. There's still many quirks left to be ironed out and might redo many things.
Happy with the prototype, even if it's really ugly visually speaking, but the grid system is in it's simplicity pretty cool, it picks randomly from tile prefabs and lays them in 10x10 - unity grid component was not used, as it seems to have problems with 3D.
After learning live2D for game development for my thesis game, I reached the conclusion that it's not optimal for game development. 2.5D animations in games still interested me, so I've done a few tests with blender. Here's one better looking ones.
Needed to prototype a game idea, very rough.
